White House Rejects Subpoenas on Firings of U.S. Prosecutors

The White House asserted executive privilege and rejected two subpoenas from lawmakers probing last year’s firings of eight U.S. prosecutors.
“The president has decided to assert executive privilege and therefore the White House will not be making any production in response to these subpoenas for documents,'’ White House Counsel Fred Fielding wrote in a letter to Senator Pat Leahy of Vermont and Representative John Conyers of Michigan, chairmen of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees.
The White House resistance is likely to touch off a constitutional showdown over Congress’s ability to investigate the firing of prosecutors and the president’s ability to obtain frank counsel from advisers.
“The principles at stake here are of the utmost importance,'’ Fielding said in the letter to lawmakers. “Presidents must be able to depend upon their advisers and other executive branch officials speaking candidly and without inhibition while deliberating and working to advise the president.'’

Blonde Office Day
Three girls work for a lady in a big business office.
A blonde, a brunette, and a red head.
Their female boss leaves the office early for the day.
After she’s gone, the girls secretly decide to go and enjoy the afternoon.
So the red head goes to do her thing. Brunette heads her way…
And the blonde goes home to surprise her husband. When she opens the bedroom
door, she sees her hubby having sex with her her boss every way but sideways!
She quietly closes the door, without being noticed, and leaves the house.
Next day, the girls get together in the break room to share the day before…
Red head: I went and bought some shoes and got a manicure!
Brunette: Well, I went and seen that new movie at the cineplex!
Blonde: Oh you wont believe this! The boss almost caught me skipping work!

White House Is Subpoenaed on Wiretapping

Here’s another big surprise… NOT!
The Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday issued subpoenas to the White House, Vice President Dick Cheney’s office and the Justice Department after what the panel’s chairman called “stonewalling of the worst kind” of efforts to investigate the National Security Agency’s policy of wiretapping without warrants.
The move put Senate Democrats squarely on a course they had until now avoided, setting the stage for a showdown with the Bush administration over one of the most contentious issues arising from the White House’s campaign against terrorism.
Senator Patrick J. Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who is chairman of the committee, said the subpoenas seek documents that could shed light on the administration’s legal justification for the wiretapping and on disputes within the government over its legality.
In addition, the panel is seeking materials on related issues, including the relationship between the Bush administration and several unidentified telecommunications companies that aided the N.S.A. eavesdropping program.

Files on Illegal CIA Spying
Long-secret documents released Tuesday provide new details about how the Central Intelligence Agency illegally spied on Americans decades ago, including trying to bug a Las Vegas hotel room for evidence of infidelity and tracking down an expert lock-picker for a Watergate conspirator.
Known inside the agency as the “family jewels,” the 702 pages of documents catalog domestic wiretapping operations, failed assassination plots, mind-control experiments and spying on journalists from the early years of the C.I.A.
The papers provide evidence of paranoia and occasional incompetence as the agency began a string of illegal spying operations in the 1960s and 1970s, often to hunt links between Communist governments and the domestic protests that roiled the nation in that period.

And does this really surprise anybody? I can’t wait to see what is divulged in future years about all the spying on our own people that is going on now. It’s starting to seem like privacy is just a fantasy.

I think Sarah Silverman is cute and pretty. When you add in how funny and silly she is, she gets even sexier. I also think she looks like porn star Joanna Angel (NSFW). I actually know Joanna personally, (for real) and she said she doesn’t think she looks like her. What do you think?
Sarah Silverman was in the June Issue of Maxim Magazine, and here are the pics for your enjoyment.

I used to hate it when my mother said I have to do something with the reason being, "Because I said so". However, I liked the pictures of Jessica Simpson so much yesterday, that I am putting up more of her today. Why? Because I said so.
