In her new film, "Things We Lost In The Fire", Berry plays a happily married mother-of-two whose life changes when her husband Brian (David Duchovny) dies. She then befriends his best friend Jerry (Benicio Del Toro), who is also struggling with his wildly-changing feelings. Her performance is Oscar-worthy, as she explores all the wide expanse of emotions that Audrey feels, following her husband’s death. The part also opened up her heart to her own impending real-life role as a mother. Halle, who is expecting her first child around March with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, admits that her maternal instincts emerged during the shooting of the film. Full Story.

Salma Hayek is using an "industrial-size breast pump" to lose her baby weight, it has been claimed. The ‘Frida’ actress, who gave birth to her first child Valentina Paloma last September, is resorting to extreme measures after friends told her breastfeeding is the best way to shed post-pregnancy pounds. A friend of the actress said: "Salma has been pumping and freezing endless amounts of breast milk. When she’s not feeding Valentina, she’s hooked up to an industrial-size breast pump." However, the 41-year-old actress is not having much luck reclaiming the sexy figure that made her famous. The friend added to America’s Star magazine: "Whatever she does, she still can’t drop the extra pounds." Lactation expert Susan Condon has warned Salma not to push her body and try to lose weight too quickly.

The star of “Training Day” and “Hitch”, Eva Mendes has checked for rehab in Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol treatment centre in Sundance, Utah. Her rep said for People.com that the 33-year-old movie star, “has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support” Eva Mendes’ rep declined to elaborate further about the problem the actress is dealing with. Cirque Lodge provides alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment services at two main facilities: the Lodge and the Studio. According to Cirque Lodge’s website the Lodge is a private substance abuse mountain retreat while the drug treatment center at the Studio is located near the base of Mount Timpanogos and the mouth of Provo Canyon. Eva Mendes, an actress of Cuban-American background, is also known for her role in "We Own the Night", in which she played with Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg and Robert Duvall.

Britney Spears spent her first night in a psychiatric unit screaming until the early hours, it emerged yesterday. And in a court hearing yesterday, the pop star’s father was named her temporary legal guardian, putting him in control of her welfare and money. The 26-year-old singer is said to be traumatised after being committed two days ago to a Los Angeles hospital for the second time in a month. She was admitted after her mother, Lynne Spears, set up a 1.30am "grab" by police and medics, fearing her daughter was suicidal. Spears spent two hours screaming at her parents and staff when she was admitted and flew into another rage yesterday when told her father had been put in control of her estate. A US website reported Spears made two calls from the UCLA psych ward after learning of the court hearing. It said that in the British accent she has recently adopted, Spears screamed: "I’m so sick of all of this. They can have the goddamn house and stick it up their f—ing asses. Actually, no they can’t."
