White Trash Decides to Trash White Dress

hot-wedding-photographer.jpg

I always thought it was dumb that brides have to pay a ton of money for a wedding dress that they will only wear once. However, I think the new trend of wedding dress trashing is even dumber. I just saw this story on CNN Headline news where they show this white trash chick trashing her white wedding dress at the Iowa State Fair. I was just going to dismiss it and move on, but then I saw the hot wedding photographer babe. That’s her picture above.

So it turns out after Googling Trash Wedding Dress that there are a bunch of stories out there telling about this new trend, and a bunch of photographers cashing in on it. What really disappointed me is that I searched and searched for this hot blonde chick in the CNN report and couldn’t find her. If anyone knows who the babe in the pic above is, please let me know so I can at least put a link to her site.

Here is the Wedding Dress Trashing Video on CNN

Here’s another “Hot Chick”

Me Chinese Me Play Joke Fake Harry Potter Books

Remember that old elementary school joke? "Me Chinese, me play joke, me go pee pee in your coke". Eh, anyway, I thought of that when I saw this story that makes me laugh.

Chinese Market Awash in Fake Potter Books

Harry Potter knockoffs abound on the Chinese market, with titles like "Harry Potter and Leopard Walk Up to Dragon," and "Harry Potter and the Big Funnel."

harry-potter-chinese.JPG

I can just hear it now … read with Chinese accent: "No. Hallie Potta not dead. He just change hailcut."

Chinese readers could not wait for the official release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the much anticipated seventh and concluding book in the series, a little more than a week ago. And they did not have to.

A book with the same title came out a full 10 days before the official worldwide English-language release on July 21 - a wholly unauthorized version that bears nothing in common with the instant best seller written by J. K. Rowling.

The Media Loves Any Excuse to Talk About Porn

Accuser Says Web Site Has X-Rated Link
stickam.gif

Parents and child safety experts concerned about the online activities of teenagers have been particularly nervous about a Web site called Stickam, which allows its 600,000 registered users, age 14 and older, to participate in unfiltered live video chats using their Web cameras.

But those Internet safety advocates might be even more anxious if they knew of Stickam’s close ties to a large online pornography business.

On its Web site and in press reports, Stickam says that it is owned by Advanced Video Communications, or AVC, a three-year-old Los Angeles company that sells video conferencing and e-commerce services to businesses in Japan and other Asian countries.

But according to Alex Becker, a former vice president at Stickam, and internal company documents, Advanced Video Communications is managed and owned by Wataru Takahashi, a Japanese businessman who also owns and operates DTI Services, a vast network of Web sites offering live sex shows over Web cameras. Mr. Becker alleges that Stickam shares office space, employees and computer systems with the pornographic Web sites.

The sites, with names like DxLive, EXshot and JgirlParadise, use the same video technology as Stickam to link paying users with performers in one-on-one video chat sessions.

Mr. Becker recently left Stickam after four months there and said he was speaking out because the company was not doing enough to protect young users of its service. Mr. Becker also alleges that he witnessed Stickam employees deleting thousands of e-mail messages sent to the company’s addresses set up for customer service and abuse complaints, without reading or responding to them.

Mr. Becker criticized what he said was the practice of sharing employees among Stickam and the pornographic sites.

The workers at Mr. Takahashi’s companies “only know how to conduct an adult Web site,” Mr. Becker said. “They don’t get it that there are predators on the Internet.”

When asked about Mr. Becker’s allegations, Scott Flacks, Stickam’s vice president for marketing, denied that the site was negligent about protecting its users, or that unread e-mail messages from users had been deleted. “We take security issues very seriously and have a dedicated team to monitor and eliminate improper material,” he said. “Security and Stickam go hand in hand.”

Mr. Flacks also said that Mr. Becker had plans to create a site that would compete with Stickam and was being “retaliatory” because he had been unable to reach agreement on a contract with the company. (Mr. Becker acknowledged that he had never signed a contract because of a dispute over intellectual property.)

Mr. Flacks said AVC was one of four “separate divisions” managed and owned by Mr. Takahashi, one of which includes DTI Services and the pornography companies. But Mr. Flacks said AVC operated independently of the pornography sites, and compared it with Disney’s ownership of Touchstone Pictures, which produces R-rated films.

“I expect some Touchstone executives have been on the Disney lot, but that doesn’t mean Disney is a content producer of adult entertainment,” he said.

Though Stickam remains relatively small compared to Web giants like MySpace and YouTube, several thousand of its mostly teenage members log onto the site each night to broadcast their own lives, often from their bedrooms. They put on makeshift talk shows, flirt with other members in video chat rooms, and often, if they are female, field repeated requests to take off their clothes.

Anyone can tune into a user’s video feed, unless the user restricts it to friends only. Members must be 14 or older to sign up, but the site does not attempt to verify ages.

Stickam has attracted a few big-name partners. Lionsgate, Warner Brothers Records and the Los Angeles Film Festival have all used Stickam for promotional purposes. Representative Ron Paul, a Republican of Texas and a candidate for president, answered questions from Stickam users last month.

But none of them appear to know Stickam’s true parentage. At first, neither did Mr. Becker, 40, who joined the company in March after a friend introduced him to Mr. Flacks, a former executive at Fox Interactive. Mr. Becker said he had been enthralled by the potential to bring live video to mobile phones, and had been impressed by the company’s offices atop the tallest building in Los Angeles, the U.S. Bank Tower.

Mr. Becker said he soon learned that Mr. Takahashi’s companies leased premium office space in several downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, including Macy’s Plaza, Sanwa Bank Plaza and One Wilshire, which houses the largest telecommunications hub in the Pacific Rim.

In the U.S. Bank Tower the companies occupy the 72nd floor, its highest, as well as the 61st and 68th floors. Last week Mr. Becker, using his company access badges, brought a reporter to the offices, which have impressive 360-degree views that stretch to the Pacific Ocean. The top floor in particular seemed curiously empty, with a dozen employees at most working there.

The floors are leased for about $35 to $37 a square foot, according to the building’s leasing agent, which makes it some of the most expensive office space in Southern California.

What’s in a Name? Ask Syvette Wimberly

A Porn Star Stole My Name Bitch!

syvette-wimberly.jpg

I never heard of porn star Syvette Wimberly until the news came out that there is a real Syvette Wimberly which is one of her former classmates that is suing her and Vivid Entertainment for using her name.

Well, actually, her name is Kristen Syvette Wimberly. It seems that is close enough to prompt a bunch of horny, moronic fans to try to contact her thinking she is the porn star. That is what prompted her lawsuit, which is nicely laid out on The Smoking Gun Web Site.

It seems like she may have a good case since it is obvious that the porn performer personally knew the other woman, and is quoted as saying she took her name on purpose because she thought it sounded cool. Probably not a good idea. I’m sure Vivid can easily afford to pay her off and make this go away.

Just remember, if you decide to be a porn star, don’t use your friend’s name as your fake name. If it wasn’t already obvious that it is a stupid idea, it should be now. Duh.

Epilepsy fears over 2012 Olympic-logo promo

olympic_logo.jpgEpilepsy fears over 2012 footage

A segment of animated footage promoting the 2012 Olympics has been removed from the organisers’ website after fears it could trigger epileptic seizures.

Prof Graham Harding, who developed the test used to measure photo-sensitivity levels in TV material, said it should not be broadcast again.

“Charity Epilepsy Action said it had received calls from people who had suffered fits after seeing it.”

That sounds like me if I get a phone call from my ex-wife.

Toyota sues porn Web site over use of Lexus name

ohmy-782746.jpgToyota is worried that a pornography Web site run by two metro Detroiters is damaging the reputation of one of its luxury cars. The Japanese automaker filed a federal lawsuit today, alleging Mario Mendoza and Katie Lynn Krzywdzinski broke trademark laws by using “Lexus” as the moniker of its porn star and the name of its Web site. The suit alleges the site “uses the mark ‘Lexus’ in an unwholesome and unsavory context” and “is likely to tarnish and blur the distinctive qualities” of the car model. The site’s star, Lexus Cash, claims to be an amateur who “started making home videos of my girlfriends fooling around.” The hometowns and other information about Mendoza and Krzywdzinski weren’t available in the lawsuit.

News Story

I believe in protecting ones trademarks and brand, but imo, this is another perfect example of wasting the court systems resources.

Is anybody really going to tie these two together, besides Toyota themselves?

Give me a freakin’ break.

I think the site is crap. No offense to the owners, but this is probably the best thing that will happen to that web site traffic wise.

(Later, I’ll tell you what I really think.)

Cork in a Bottle Trick

Here’s a very cool way to make $100. I think I will use this trick this weekend and bet someone $100 I can get the cork out of the bottle. I better practice first though. This is very cool.

Watch TV Shows Online

tv-links-co-uk-sarah-silverman.jpg

This is one of the coolest things in the world if you feel like watching some of your favorite TV shows on your computer. My "24 buddy", Miguel sent me this cool link to watch 24, but then I started watching "The Sarah Silverman Program". She is so cute and looks like porn star Joanna Angel, but I digress. Now you can watch your favorite shows on your lunch break, or even while you are supposed to be working. I did a quick count and it looks they have between 250 - 300 different shows, plus several episodes of each.

Their recent Updates include; Monk, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Andromeda, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, Stargate Atlantis, Xena, Highlander, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Grey’s Anatomy, Ideal and more.

You better check it out quick before they get taken offline because I am having my doubts that this is legal. Thanks to Miguel for finding http://tv-links.co.uk/ (He was watching it while he was supposed to be doing his homework.. Shhh. Don’t tell his mom.)

World’s Smartest Man

World's Smartest ManI have a friend named Hammer. He thinks Angelina Jolie is the sexiest woman in the world. I think she is a freakazoid. Not that I don’t think she is sexy. She is probably one of the best examples of my oft used saying, "the hotter they are, the more f-cked up they are".

I used to think that Hammer was the world’s smartest man. Why? Well, first of all, he is friends with me. Secondly, he smokes cigars. And third, he has a quick wit and a good sense of humor. Then I found out that he LOVES Angelina Jolie, and I became doubtful that he is the smartest man in the world.

When I told my girlfriend that I disagreed with Hammer, and that I think she is the sexiest woman in the world, she said that she thinks I am the world’s smartest man. So, Hammer, my friend, I am sorry to tell you that you are no longer the smartest man in the world.

Sorry dude.
