Frank Miller does some cool-ass shit, like Sin City and 300 … and now we have great news that Eva Mendes will be in his next picture, "The Spirit".
Nowadays, all you need to sell a kick-ass movie is to have Frank Miller name-dropped somewhere on the one-sheet. Hell, you could sell Care Bears From Planet X to 18-to-34-year-old males so long as the Variety ad proclaimed A Script Once Promptly Thrown in the Garbage by Frank Miller!
The Fabulous Mr. Miller is currently at work on pre-production on Will Eisner’s The Spirit, one of the great and groundbreaking comics in history. He’s already signed on an amazing cast for the noirish epic, including Sam Jackson and Scarlett Johansson. Now comes word from the trades that Miller has tapped Eva Mendes for the role of Sand Saref, the Spirit’s old flame.
