Michael Vick’s future as a star in the National Football League became more tenuous Friday when two more of his co-defendants accepted plea agreements and implicated him in a dogfighting ring.
Lawyers for Vick, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback, had recommended that he also accept a plea deal. The Falcons’ owner, Arthur Blank, told The Associated Press on Friday night that Vick’s lawyers were negotiating with prosecutors. “It seems to be a pretty clear indication there will be some sort of plea entered,” Blank said.
If he does not accept a deal, Vick will be the only one of the four defendants in the case without one. On July 30, the first defendant to agree, Tony Taylor, pleaded guilty and said he would help the government’s case.
Without a plea deal, Vick would most likely face superseding charges that could expose him to even more prison time and put his N.F.L. career at risk.
Forget prison. We should just let a dog do this to Michael Vick’s face. Fucking Jerk!
