Hopes of a shot in the NCAA tournament fell apart for a lot of bubble teams this week. Air Force, UMass, Clemson, Stanford and Providence all watched their hopes of picking up a spot in the bracket disappear yesterday with losses, while a few other teams like Florida State and Texas Tech stepped up and made their case for the selection committee.

All the sports writers and “bracketologists” will have a pretty good idea of what the brackets will look like, but when selection Sunday comes around we will see some curve balls. Some bubble team we swore was out will be in, some lock will be out, so unless a team has an automatic bid there will be no celebrations till Sunday.
